We Card training can be a great benefit for both store employees and managers. It can help them gain a better understanding of federal and state laws and how to properly prevent underage sales of age-restricted products. Training helps employees and managers stay up to date on the latest regulations for their industry, providing them with the knowledge they need to ensure compliance and reduce the risk of fines or penalties.

On a more practical level, We Card training can help employees and managers handle difficult situations more effectively – such as denying a sale to a 20-year-old who isn’t aware that 21 is the national minimum-age for tobacco and vaping product purchases.

Here are four things that retail employees told us about the We Card training experience:

1. Increased confidence – 78% reported they are “more confident” in their ability to identify and deny underage purchase attempts.  99% said they were “confident” or “more confident.” Without a doubt, confidence at the point-of-sale helps in so many ways, including handling difficult customer interactions during “carding” and practice makes perfect.

2. Faster at checking IDs – Trainees told us they became faster at checking IDs after training because they learned or reinforced, We Card’s systematic approach.

3. Reinforces good habits – Employees and managers said that they liked being told when they’re doing the right thing. We Card training uses interactive tools and quizzes to help them demonstrate their skills.

4. Learning something new – Managers said they liked how the training includes new topics, such as strategies minors may use to get tobacco – like getting a 21+ adult to buy for them.
